The Big City project is being implemented in stages. The active construction phase is already underway: the bulk of housing, office buildings, roads and metro stations are planned to be commissioned by 2030. However, the final formation of the district, including all transport interchanges, social facilities and landscaping, is expected in the period 2035–2040. This will create a full-fledged business and residential cluster integrated with the Moscow City core.
