Over the next few years, namely by 2024, construction of five more skyscrapers is expected to be completed on the MIBC site on Presnenskaya Embankment. According to urbanists, the presence of such a grand, full-fledged skyscraper district in Moscow significantly increases the city's attractiveness for businesses of all sizes, including foreign companies, and enhances Moscow's status as a business hub. The creation of one or more similar districts in the capital would be a good solution to the issue of city decentralization.
According to experts, the Moscow-City business center has fulfilled its design vision and has truly become a magnet for entrepreneurs. After all, it was originally planned as an alternative economic hub that would help alleviate congestion in Moscow's historic center. However, during the project's implementation, difficulties arose, particularly the problem of underdeveloped transportation infrastructure.
According to Oleg Vasiliev, a specialist in territorial development and urban planning, the Moscow International Business Center lacks direct connections to key international and intercity hubs, which negatively impacts its attractiveness for business. However, this hasn't prevented the business center from becoming a magnet for domestic and international companies. According to statistics, foreign companies account for 22% of office space tenants in Moscow City skyscrapers.
Moreover, the Moscow International Business Center has become a major Moscow landmark and a popular tourist destination, as such an unusual structure is bound to attract tourists. It's therefore no surprise that Moscow City has been included among the most unusual buildings in Moscow built in the last 100 years.
