What an exchange point is and how the transaction takes place

Cryptocurrency exchange points are offline offices and counters where you can buy or sell cryptocurrency (BTC, USDT, ETH, etc.) for cash in rubles. The transaction takes place in person: you transfer the asset to the service’s wallet and, after blockchain confirmation, receive cash, or you deposit cash and receive cryptocurrency sent to your address. In Moscow, such transactions are conducted by specialized exchange offices, sometimes through partner cash desks or high-security facilities.

Such services are particularly in demand in business districts, including Moscow City, where major financial flows and business activity are concentrated. Cash exchange is often used for large sums when a quick transaction is required without bank restrictions, limits, or delays. Offices in such locations typically have enhanced security measures and prepare the required amount of cash in advance.

  • The exchange rate is fixed upon request in advance.
  • Speed depends on the network: USDT TRC-20 is usually the fastest and cheapest option, while BTC is slower due to confirmations.
  •  Exchanging without bank transfers is convenient for large sums and situations where it’s important to get fiat cash without cards or payment systems.

Small transactions sometimes go through without strict verification, but for large amounts, they may request an ID (it’s better to be discreet, and the exchange may accommodate you if you want to remain anonymous).

How cash exchange works

Exchanges take place at specialized crypto exchange offices, meeting rooms in business centers, or the cash desks of partner platforms. The procedure is simple: the client transfers cryptocurrency from their wallet, an employee verifies the funds’ arrival on the blockchain, and then cash is issued. When buying crypto, the process is reversed: cash is deposited, and then the asset is sent to the specified address.

Why use exchange points when there are online services?

People choose offline exchanges when they need to quickly receive or deposit cash, conduct a large-sum transaction, or avoid bank restrictions and account freezes. This format is convenient for those who work directly with fiat currency, do not want to use cards or transfers, or prefer to keep their transactions off the bank’s radar.

How long does the exchange take, and what does it depend on?

The process usually takes 10 to 30 minutes. The main factor is the speed of transaction confirmation on the network: USDT TRC-20 processes quickly, while BTC may take longer. The time required to prepare cash and verify the receipt of funds is also factored in.

Which cryptocurrencies are accepted, and why are different networks chosen?

Bitcoin (BTC) and the USDT stablecoin are exchanged most frequently, as they are the most liquid and in demand. The popularity of the TRC-20 network is due to its low fees and high speed, while BTC is used for large transfers and as a store of value. Many exchange points also work with ETH and other assets by prior arrangement.
