KOFOOD (Kofud)
KOFOOD is a Korean cuisine corner in the Afimall City shopping center, emphasizing authenticity and accessibility. The project began as a desire by Far Eastern chefs to introduce Muscovites to traditional recipes preserved and passed down for decades by Koreans in Sakhalin, where the rich heritage of the Korean diaspora is concentrated. The restaurant's slogan, "with pepper in the heart," reflects the overall idea of preserving the cuisine's authenticity and giving guests a sense of travel. Therefore, the menu features no random dishes: each is based on a classic recipe and prepared with high-quality ingredients.
The format focuses on fast service and large portions at reasonable prices. The display case features gimbap with bulgogi beef and vegetables, UFO burgers with shrimp or chicken and kimchi, gyoza with pork or seafood, funchose salad, Japanese ramen, spicy yukkedjang soup, and traditional bibimbap, which is best tossed with sauce before serving. For those who love spicy food, there's kimchi and wok noodles with meat, mushrooms, or seafood; vegetarian options are marked separately. Tkemali sauces are replaced by spicy Korean pastes, and drinks—tea and lemonade—help balance the spices.
KOFOOD's interior continues the theme of modern Korea: bright neon signs, street food-style graphics, and contrasting lighting create the feeling of being on the streets of Seoul at night. The restaurant operates in a food court format: orders are placed at the counter, dishes are prepared quickly, and the packaging is designed for to-go dining. Opening hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (Friday and Saturday until 11:00 PM), making it a convenient place for a quick lunch or late dinner.
