Misha Fisher in Jaffa is a restaurant on the fifth floor of Afimall, transporting guests to the streets of Tel Aviv's ancient port. Named after the city where today's Israeli bohemians live, the project vividly demonstrates how kosher practices fit into metropolitan life. The menu offers a gastronomic bridge between Israel, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean: hummus and falafel, crispy eggplant salad, warm Israeli noodle soup with herbs, meat kebabs and grilled chicken, dishes "from an Odessa grandmother," as well as a selection of Asian dim sum, rolls, and sushi prepared according to kosher rules. For lunch, there's a reasonable business lunch and a children's menu; for dinner, grilled meat and fish, fresh bread, and meze appetizers. The finale features signature desserts and five types of homemade sorbet, each with a vibrant combination of fruits and spices. Strict adherence to kosher and halal standards is a pleasant bonus: multi-level ingredient control guarantees consistently high quality, even if religious requirements are not your thing.
