Located next to Moscow-City, the Expocentre exhibition complex occupies a considerable area – 250,000 square meters. Media reports indicate that the complex's owners have already applied to city authorities for approval for a development project on the site, specifically 130,000 square meters on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment. One of the contenders for the project is the Kievskaya Ploshad Group of Companies, owned by God Nisanov and Zakhar Iliev. However, such approval has not yet been granted.
The owners of the Central Exhibition Complex deny the existence of such plans. However, Moskomstroyinvest confirmed to journalists that the development plan for its territory had been submitted to the urban planning and land commission. Previously, Andrey Bochkarev, deputy mayor of Moscow, had also mentioned similar plans. The proposed developer, Kyivskaya Ploshad, declined to comment on the matter.
Experts currently estimate the Expocentre site facing Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment to be worth 12-20 billion rubles. Experts believe it could accommodate up to 1 million square meters of development, requiring an investment of 150-180 billion rubles. As a reminder, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation owns 51% of the exhibition complex's shares.
