Traffic reorganization near the Moscow-City business district is expected in the coming days due to the opening of Bagrationovsky Prospekt, an alternative to Kutuzovsky Prospekt, according to the Moscow Department of Roads and Transport.
"In the Moscow-City area, the North-Western Agricultural Complex, and the Moscow Ring Road, near the Kuntsevo section, the traffic route will be updated due to the new Bagration Avenue," the press release stated.
According to additional information, to optimize traffic at Moscow-City, access from the Third Ring Road to Testovskaya will be interrupted. Drivers are now advised to use the route via Erismana Street, bypassing the ring road, to reach the business district.
It was added that the turn from Testovskaya to Presnenskaya Embankment will be closed. Maneuvers from Krasnopresnenskaya to Vystavochny and back are also prohibited.
However, the Park and River buildings now have a two-way driveway with access to the water area.
Experts at the department believe the new regulations will improve road conditions, taking into account the integration with the new route and the increase in traffic flow.
