In the first half of 2023, Moscow City concluded deals for 136,000 square meters of office space, three times higher than the entire previous year, according to the analytical company Nikoliers.
Current results exceed those from 2018-2022, with the exception of 2021. During that period, IT organizations actively sought out the Moscow International Business Center (MIBC) Moscow-City, resulting in them occupying most of the available space.
According to analysts, there is a rise in pent-up demand following the events of 2022. Compared to the first half of 2021, the figures increased by 11%. Interestingly, 84% of all transactions involved organizations from the public and banking sectors.
Regarding vacant space in Moscow City, its share decreased by 3.6% compared to the end of 2022, reaching 5.4%. This figure is back to pre-coronavirus 2019 levels, but still exceeds 2021 figures, the press release emphasizes.
