As part of his strategy to improve Moscow's urban infrastructure, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the approval of a major road construction and reconstruction project in the area of the high-tech Moscow City business center. This project will mark a new stage in the development of one of the capital's most dynamic and modern districts.
The project includes the renovation and modernization of key transport arteries in the Moscow-City district, including Antonov-Ovseenko and Podvoiskogo Streets, as well as Vystavochny Lane and sections of Presnenskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya Embankments. Additionally, improvements will be made to Shmitovsky Proyezd and 1st and 2nd Krasnogvardeysky Proyezds, increasing the total length of upgraded roads to over 4.5 kilometers.
Mayor Sobyanin also emphasized the importance of creating comfortable conditions for pedestrians in the Moscow-City district. Specifically, plans include the construction of a wide pedestrian alley near Shmitovsky Proyezd, as well as an overpass across Vystavochny Pereulok. This will improve accessibility and pedestrian safety in this business district.
Additionally, the mayor outlined plans to improve the road network around Moscow-City. Side roads are planned for the section from the Third Ring Road to Antonova-Ovseenko Street, and a U-turn ramp will be built along the Third Ring Road, improving accessibility to the area.
These measures are thus part of an overall strategy for developing Moscow's urban infrastructure, aimed at improving the quality of life and comfort of residents, as well as creating a safer and more efficient transport system.
