The merger with the center in Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye in the Western Administrative Okrug will occur thanks to the construction of a new metro line.
Acting Mayor Sergei Sobyanin shared the following information: "Two modern underground lines operate in the northwestern section of the capital. One of them, known as Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya, will significantly facilitate travel along the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line.
The stations located between Shelepikha and Delovoy Tsentr are planned to be included in the first section of the line. Currently, they are part of the Big Circle Line (BKL). The aforementioned stations will be added to the new line at a later date.
Sobyanin also touched on the second section, which runs between Shelepikha and Lipovaya Roshcha. The mayor clarified: "Construction began this year. The line will eventually be able to expand into certain areas, extending beyond the Moscow Ring Road. These will include Kuntsevo, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, and others. This line will also extend into two districts of the Moscow region."
