The "Active Citizen" project launched in Moscow, asking participants to choose the most beautiful places in the Russian capital. Participants had to choose the best options among observation decks and restored buildings.
Overall voting results in Moscow
196,500 Muscovites participated in the event. The results were published on the official website of the Moscow City Hall.
Patriarch's Ponds took the lead. An overwhelming majority of voters ranked them first and identified them as the ideal option for a romantic encounter. Among other popular spots, Moscow residents named VDNKh and Vorobyovy Gory (second and third places, respectively).
Observation decks and restored buildings
Of the observation decks, the area located within the Vorobyovy Gory area was recognized as the best. The second spot was taken by the area occupying the 89th floor of the Federation Tower in Moscow City. Third place went to Zaryadye Park, home to the Floating Bridge and numerous rows of amphitheaters.
Muscovites voted the Northern River Terminal the most beautiful restored building. The list of winners also included the Cosmos Pavilion at VDNKh and the main tram power station, GES-2 (second and third places).
