Due to the rapid development of Moscow City, city officials began considering providing residents of the residential complex with additional recreational facilities. This time, the decision was made to open a new embankment to residents, which, according to the architects, will become a key feature not only of the district but of the entire city.
The embankment improvement project for Filevsky Park and Dorogomilovo was submitted to the capital's main architectural committee several years ago. The new recreation area was planned to stretch from the famous Beregovoy Proyezd to the Pyotr Fomenko Workshop, located opposite the Moscow-City residential complex. Furthermore, another Dorogomilovskaya embankment project was recently presented to a select group of specialists. It not only made it to the finals of The Plan Award 2021 but also captivated the entire European jury.

According to preliminary estimates, the new embankment will be divided into regular and landscape zones. The former will be designated for jogging, walking, and cycling paths, while the latter will be a quiet recreation area with a shoreline, vegetation, and access to the water. Special attention will also be given to cafes, restaurants, and rental shops.
The exact opening date for the embankment has not yet been announced. According to Deputy Mayor Andrei Bochkarev, the project is still quite far from completion: the monolithic structures are approximately 80% complete, the bored piles are 90% complete, and the reinforcement cage is 73%.
Workers are currently laying sewer lines and preparing to move on to installing outdoor lighting. As for cosmetic finishing touches, the architects believe it's time to finish what they've started first.
