Five Moscow high-rises will soon become even more attractive to tourists and residents. Their roofs will become observation decks , offering views of the capital's skyline, including the Moscow City business center and the Moskva River, Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Victory Park, and Moscow State University. The concept for the platforms was developed by AEON Development, one of Moscow's largest developers, while Wowhaus designed the eco-futuristic buildings.
According to S. O. Kuznetsov, Moscow's chief architect, creating recreational spaces on building roofs is a relatively new trend for Moscow. And there aren't many such facilities in the capital. Previously, rooftops were typically used only for restaurants or observation decks, but with limited infrastructure. This should change in the future, and with the help of such projects, rooftop recreational facilities will become more popular. After all, they are suitable for business meetings and festive events, and even for sports or work.
Each planned facility is approximately 550 square meters in area, providing the opportunity to create a comfortable space with convenient zoning and secure fencing. Four-meter-high glass structures will ensure safe use of the sites. Landscaping throughout the facility, with a special selection of shrubs and trees adapted to local conditions, will ensure a green area year-round. Additional zoning will be achieved through the use of special lighting scenarios and layered planting.
The venues will be equipped with domed or igloo-shaped pavilions, creating a sense of privacy and designed for groups of 4 to 8 guests. All will provide reliable protection from all weather conditions and will be equipped not only with ventilation, heating, and overhead lighting, but also with Wi-Fi routers, mobile device chargers, and audio systems. Barbecue areas will also be located nearby, and these areas are also intended for yoga.
The first high-rise building to feature the new type of observation deck will be part of the River Park Towers Kutuzovsky residential complex. It is located on the waterfront. Moscow River and was created according to the design of the same company that is engaged in observation sites - "AEON-Development".
