In Moscow, assembly of the spans of a two-kilometer railway overpass—the longest in the capital—is in the final stages. Four new stations are planned for this section, between the Kievsky and Smolensky railway stations. The new line is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the Moscow metro and the areas around the railway stations, thereby avoiding traffic congestion.
The project will include the construction of one transfer station, facilitating connections to the capital's business center. This is part of an overall urban development strategy aimed at developing infrastructure and connecting Moscow's various districts and key transportation hubs. Groundbreaking for the first three stations will begin in mid-summer, and the fourth is scheduled to open in 2025.
