In February, a document signed by the Prime Minister appeared online regarding the rules for providing offices for federal government officials and employees of federal executive bodies in the 173-meter IQ-quarter tower purchased by Dom.RF.
According to it, the heads of federal executive bodies and their immediate deputies are allocated reception areas of up to 25 square meters in the building at 10 Presnenskaya Embankment, Building 2, as well as additional work spaces, the size of which cannot exceed 20 square meters.
As for the heads of independent departments of the federal executive body, reception areas no larger than 10 square meters are provided for them. The size of meeting rooms is also regulated. If they are designed to accommodate up to 20 people, their area cannot exceed 75 square meters. If they are designed to accommodate 21-40 people, a space of up to 100 square meters is permitted. In cases where a meeting room is designed to accommodate more than 41 but less than 60 people, its size must be up to 120 square meters.
These figures were obtained through calculations that took into account current regulations: the space for providing government services or receiving citizens must be at least 9 square meters per employee.
Thus, regulations allocate the largest permissible area (up to 25 square meters) to managers and their assistants, with the job category they hold taking into account. Specialists are entitled to no more than 15 square meters, and employees supporting them are entitled to up to 9 square meters.
Several ministries moved into the 2nd tower of the IQ-Quarter multifunctional complex, located in Moscow City, in 2019. The first government ministries to occupy this skyscraper were the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, and their subordinate agencies.
