The capital's business center, known as "Moscow City," will soon feature a striking addition to the city's skyline: a glass dome installed on the roof of the stylobate of the newest business center, iCITY . This architectural element will not only be decorative but also a functional part of the building, ensuring optimal use of daylight and adding an airy feel to the space.
Expansion of business and public spaces
Under the direction of Moscow Deputy Mayor Andrey Bochkarev, the project is expected to be completed in 2025. It comprises two office buildings connected by an eight-story stylobate. It will feature a variety of public amenities, including a modern fitness center with a swimming pool, a café, and services for the daily needs of employees and guests. Plans are underway for a landscaped park on the sixth floor, offering visitors areas for active recreation and sports, as well as summer restaurant terraces with picturesque views of the city.
Progress in construction and innovative technologies
Construction of the business center is currently 70% complete. The primary focus is on installing the translucent structures of the stylobate and atrium, as well as the exterior finishes of one of the office buildings. The project incorporates advanced waterproofing and interior finishing techniques, ensuring the durability and aesthetic appeal of the structures.
Visual concept and aesthetic significance
Moscow's Chief Architect, Sergey Kuznetsov, emphasized that the atrium dome will be made of completely transparent glass, allowing maximum light penetration into the interior and creating a feeling of openness and spaciousness. Furthermore, the buildings' architectural design will feature distinctive red accents, giving the entire complex a modern and dynamic appearance.
Integration into the urban structure
The iCITY business complex, covering a total area of 230,000 square meters, is under construction on Shmitovsky Proyezd in the Presnensky District. The developer, MR Group, is implementing the project in line with the latest trends in urban planning and aims to create a space that blends harmoniously with the surrounding urban environment and meets the needs of a modern metropolis.
This project will not only strengthen Moscow's business infrastructure but also add a new icon to the city's architectural landscape, improving the quality of life and work environment for its residents.
