Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Construction, announced that the foundation piling for One Tower, another tower in Moscow-City, has been completed. In his announcement, he explained that the excavation pit is now fully prepared and the foundation piling for the subsequent construction of the 107-story skyscraper has been completed. However, Bochkarev was quick to point out that a significant amount of work remains to be done on the tower's foundation.
One Tower will be more than just a residential tower with 1,600 apartments; it will be a large complex with infrastructure no less well-developed than other Moscow City skyscrapers. The building will feature a fitness club with a large swimming pool, a variety of restaurants and shops, and a children's club, a rare feature in Moscow City skyscrapers. The highlight of the complex will be an open terrace with a landscaped garden and recreation area for residents of One Tower.
At the same time, the skyscraper is being built using state-of-the-art technologies, according to a statement from Mosinzhproekt, executive director of development for One Tower investor and developer. It will feature an automated parking lot traffic management system, a vacuum waste collection system, and much more.
Furthermore, back in January, the Moscow Institute of General Planning (IGU) announced that it was developing a project to develop pedestrian zones in the "Big City" area. The project is being managed by the Moscow Committee for Architecture. As a result, it was announced that the Moscow International Business Center (MIBC) will have a new exit ramp from the Third Ring Road, something that many residents and frequent visitors to Moscow-City had been eagerly awaiting.
