Wildberries and Russ Outdoor are considering purchasing the Empire-2 skyscraper, currently under construction in the Moscow-City business district, to house their new combined headquarters. The property is owned by USM Holding, founded by Alisher Usmanov, and Solvers Estate, controlled by Oleg Malis. The Empire-2 tower is reportedly one of the potential locations for the headquarters of the merged company RVB, which was created through a partnership between Wildberries and the outdoor advertising operator Russ Outdoor.
However, Wildberries emphasizes that no decision has been made to purchase the tower at this time. The company is considering several possible office locations, and a final location has not yet been selected. Wildberries representatives stated that once a specific location is selected, they will officially notify the media.
The "Imperia-2" skyscraper, currently under construction, is located on plot No. 4 in the Moscow-City business center. The building will have a total floor area of 115,800 square meters, and consultants estimate its value at approximately 16 billion rubles. Earlier, in 2019, telecom operator Megafon expressed interest in purchasing the property, but the deal was not finalized. In 2023, it was also reported that Renaissance Development could complete the skyscraper, but negotiations with the building's owners have not yet been successfully concluded.
It's worth noting that Wildberries and Russ Outdoor announced their partnership in mid-June 2023. As part of this collaboration, a new company, RVB LLC, was created, in which Wildberries holds a 65% stake, and Stinn, a company affiliated with Russ Outdoor, holds a 35% stake. Robert Mirzoyan, also CEO of the Russ Outdoor group, became the executive director of the new company.
Thus, Wildberries and Russ Outdoor continue to actively search for a suitable location for their headquarters, and "Imperia-2" in "Moscow City" remains one of the most attractive options for implementing these plans.
We previously reported that Renaissance Development plans to complete the Empire 2 tower in Moscow City.
