A new umbrella rental service, "UmbrellaBerry," has been introduced at the Moscow-City metro station in Moscow. This innovative service now allows Muscovites and visitors to quickly rent an umbrella, free from the vagaries of the weather. This initiative was implemented with the support of the Moscow Department of Transport, underscoring the city's commitment to improving passenger comfort and convenience.
UmbrellaBerry is available not only at the Moscow-City metro station, but also at other key stations: Fiztekh (exit #1), Yakhromskaya (exit #1), Lianozovo (between exits #1 and #2–5, as well as between #6 and #7), and Maryina Roshcha (exit #6). Users can choose from flexible rates: daily rental costs 250 rubles, hourly rates are 50 rubles, and per-minute rates are just 10 rubles. A 500-ruble deposit is required to activate the rental, which will be refunded within a few hours of returning the umbrella.
Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, noted that UmbrellaBerry is a step forward in the development of passenger infrastructure, helping residents not only avoid the rain but also enjoy the comfort of the urban environment. The service allows residents to grab an umbrella in just a few clicks, which is especially convenient in Moscow's variable weather, where a clear day can suddenly give way to rain.
Thus, Moscow continues to develop innovative passenger services aimed at improving the quality of urban life and supporting city residents in all weather conditions.
