MFC Tower on the Embankment Block C

The office building block C is the last and tallest tower of the three buildings that make up the MFC "Tower on the Embankment". The complex is located on the 10th plot of the MIBC, which now has the address Presnenskaya Embankment, 10. The buildings of the MFC "Tower on the Embankment" form segments of a circle of different heights, which gives the complex austerity and elegance.

History of construction

The tasks of developing the project and carrying out construction work were assigned to a large Turkish company, Enka. Its management decided to divide the construction of the multifunctional complex "Tower on the Embankment" into 3 stages, which gave it a significant time advantage.

While other developers were negotiating with the capital's authorities, coordinating large architectural projects and could not begin construction directly, Enka had already received permission to construct buildings of the first and second stages and was starting work on its site. This allowed it to complete construction before the sudden crisis.

It was the approval of the tallest building of the "Tower on the Embankment" complex that dragged on for a long time. Officials weighed numerous technical and economic indicators. When the project was already approved and the developer was able to start work, the first buildings of the multifunctional complex were already completed and put into operation.

Block C of the "Tower on the Embankment" began to be built in January 2005. The work lasted until November 2007. The offices under construction quickly found new owners, since the idea of creating a modern, highly developed business district, in which all of Moscow's business life would be concentrated, appealed to many companies.

As a large holding with large assets of its own, Enka did not attract credit funds for the project. Therefore, there is no exact data on the size of investments in it. The total amount of funds invested in it is estimated at about 200 million dollars.

The skyscraper's management company is Enka's subsidiary, City Center Investment B.V. Over the years, it has established itself on the positive side and provides high-quality service to the tower's residents.

Construction Features

The tallest tower of the MFC "Tower on the Embankment", like the entire complex, is built in the high-tech style. This distinguishes it from other skyscrapers of "Moscow-City", built in a futuristic style. Also, a distinctive feature of Block C is the lack of glazing on the technical floors, which visually creates the effect of fragility. But such a solution, on the contrary, made it possible to strengthen the structure.

The tower was built in accordance with modern technologies from the best materials. It meets high international quality standards and was rightfully classified as a Class A building.

Tinted, impact-resistant panoramic glass with high sound insulation values was used for glazing the skyscraper. The large area of windows has a positive effect on the energy efficiency of the building, and for the safety of people, the tower has the following:

• automatic fire extinguishing system;

• access control system;

• video surveillance and alarm system.

There is also a security service in the building, carefully monitoring the order in the territory under its control.

Comfortable conditions in the building are created by means of individual heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems. It has modern elevators developing a speed of 8 m/s.

Block C is connected to other buildings of the MFC "Tower on the Embankment" by an underground part. The entire complex has a single underground parking and a shopping gallery.

The tallest building of the multifunctional complex "Tower on the Embankment" reaches the mark of 268 m. The skyscraper has 59 floors, all of which, with the exception of technical floors, are allocated for offices. There are 5 more underground floors under the building, 4 of which are occupied by parking, and on the minus first there is retail.

Thus, like all other buildings of the MFC "Tower on the Embankment", Block C is classified as office real estate. The prestige of the complex, as well as the Moscow-City district, solid neighborhood and developed infrastructure make the premises highly sought after. Interesting facts

Until 2009, Block C of the MFC "Tower on the Embankment" was considered the tallest building not only in Moscow, Russia, but also in Europe. It "outgrew" the Moscow Triumph Palace by 4 meters. Having held the title of the tallest skyscraper in Europe for two years, "Tower on the Embankment" handed it over to another multifunctional complex "Moscow-City" "City of Capitals".
