Moscow authorities have approved the construction of a multifunctional business complex with a total area of approximately 249,000 square meters on Erisman Street, plot 1 , where the Sechenov University Botanical Garden was previously located.
The project will likely be implemented by the developer Donstroy , whose subsidiary DS Stroy conducted engineering and geodetic surveys on the site in May 2025.
According to official information, the complex will include office space, including a tower up to 299 meters high and covering 156,000 square meters, with flexible layouts and underground parking integrated with neighboring Moscow City buildings .
This will allow the capital's business cluster to expand, but raises questions about preserving green spaces in the city center.

The botanical garden was relocated in 2024 to a 5.5-hectare site in the Moskvoretsky Natural and Historical Park in the Krylatskoye district. It now houses an educational and laboratory building, greenhouses with tropical and subtropical plants, and areas for educational programs and school activities.
More than a thousand medicinal plants from the university's collection have been successfully adapted to the new location, and the garden will be open to visitors in September 2024.
The move made it possible to preserve the unique collection, which was previously located in the industrial zone near Moscow City.
