MFC OKO Northern Tower

The Northern Tower of the OKO multifunctional complex, built on plot 16 of the Moscow International Business Center, is one of the main business locations of Moscow City. Situated at 1st Krasnogvardeisky Proezd, 21, building 2, the building includes 122,500 sq. m. of elite office space, some of which is already occupied not only by large international companies, but also by the Moscow government.

History of creation

The OKO multifunctional complex project was ready and approved in 2001. Some of the best US architects worked on its creation – the architectural bureau Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. But the construction work was started by the developer of the OKO multifunctional complex, Capital Group, only in 2012. It decided to divide the 16th plot into 2 parts: 16A and 16B. The OKO multifunctional complex was built on the first one, and the second one was allocated for the construction of the largest parking lot.

The Northern Tower of the OKO multifunctional complex was put into operation at the end of 2014. Several years later, the Southern Tower and the stylobate part of the Crystal were completed, which became the logical conclusion of the construction of the OKO multifunctional complex and marked the beginning of active sales of elite residential and office premises.

Today the building is managed by Capital Group subsidiary Capex Management Company.

Features of the construction of the Northern Tower of the OKO MFC

The northern tower of the OKO multifunctional complex has an elegant rectangular silhouette. Due to the presence of beveled edges and a relief facade in the form of individual honeycombs, the building acquires individual outlines and one can even say elegance.

The most advanced technologies and materials were used in the construction of the OKO multifunctional complex. Thus, non-flammable ROCKWOOL materials were used to provide fire protection for internal communications, including the ventilation system box. They not only have a high level of resistance to high temperatures, but also have an aesthetic appearance, and also reduce heat loss and protect the system from collapse in the event of a fire.

The skyscraper also uses advanced engineering solutions:

• central air conditioning system;

• individual heating point;

• fiber optic communication system;

• a multi-level purification system for tap water, allowing its quality to be brought up to drinking water standards;

• supply and exhaust ventilation with additional air filtration and heating system;

• smoke control system.

Special attention is paid to the safety of residents of the Northern Tower of the OKO MFC. In addition to a sprinkler fire extinguishing system with an alert, there is 24-hour video surveillance, a remote access control system and a security service.

The skyscraper is equipped with 31 high-speed KONE elevators with a speed of up to 6 m/s. Garbage is removed from the building daily by special freight elevators.

The interiors and layouts of the offices are thought out to the smallest detail. They were created by the best designers, and their ideas were brought to life using modern high-quality and environmentally friendly materials.

The North Tower can be accessed from the street through doors with photocells, or from underground or above-ground parking, connected by common highways.

Northern Tower of the MFC OKO today

The Northern Tower of the OKO multifunctional complex is a 49-story building, 274 m high, entirely dedicated to offices. Their total area is 104,000 sq. m. There is a suitable space for companies of any size. The Northern Tower features small isolated offices of various layouts and huge coworking spaces equipped with everything necessary for successful business, including:

• an administrator's area for meeting guests, receiving correspondence and resolving current issues for employees;

• meeting rooms of different sizes;

MFC OKO has become a multiple record holder in many nominations and has earned a lot of awards, which the developer Capital Group is very proud of. Its South Tower is the 3rd largest in Europe and Russia, but the developer's main pride is the absolute victory in the nomination "Best Development Project in the Russian Real Estate Market" FIABCI Prix d'Excellence, received in 2016.
