When choosing a fitness club in Moscow City for regular use, proximity to work or home plays a major role. However, if you work in Moscow City or live in the Presnensky district, convenient location is automatically irrelevant. After all, the skyscrapers of Moscow City are renowned for their well-developed infrastructure, including seven modern, well-equipped premium fitness clubs. Therefore, those who strive to stay in good physical shape have plenty to choose from. However, each club has its own advantages and disadvantages, and knowing these will help you quickly make the right choice and avoid disappointment.
The World Class fitness chain club in the City of Capitals tower
Overall, the World Class Capital City fitness club deserves a close look. This is not only due to its status as one of Moscow's largest fitness club chains, but also due to its harmonious organization. World Class Capital City has everything you need for a workout, including a large 25-meter, 5-lane swimming pool. Not every fitness center in Moscow City can boast this. Additionally, club members can enjoy a sauna complex and a unique ice fountain.

The club also offers a wide variety of fitness programs, including a professional ring. Overall, 13-14 group classes are offered daily, including outdoor workouts, with certified trainers. There are also separate classes for children. Another advantage of World Class Capital City is its running section, which, incidentally, is open to all members of the chain.
The club's only drawback is the cost of an annual membership. It costs 150,000 rubles, although you can sometimes save a little by taking advantage of special offers. On the other hand, for many employees of the offices located in the Moscow City towers, this price seems quite reasonable given the high level of service at a premium fitness club belonging to the capital's largest chain. Incidentally, despite all its advantages, World Class Capital City is far from the most expensive club in Moscow City.
Fitness Club 5 Element
"5 Element" holds the record for the largest fitness club in Moscow City, covering 4,500 square meters. Situated on the 4th floor of the Afimall City shopping center , its 7-meter-high ceilings offer a sense of total freedom.

5 Element features 150 modern exercise machines from leading European and American manufacturers, including Hammer Strength. The equipment is carefully arranged to avoid crowding and queues. The club boasts a strong coaching staff and an in-house cycling studio and community.
There are also 17-18 different types of group classes available, three of which require an additional fee. This means that members of the 5th Element club have a wider selection of activities than others. Moreover, it offers classes in such rare disciplines as qigong, TRX, and kickboxing. However, the club lacks a pool, which is perhaps its only drawback.
After classes, club members can relax in the sauna or visit the massage room. 5 Element also has its own fitness bar and solarium.
5 Element offers both unlimited and monthly memberships. The prices are among the most attractive among all the fitness centers in Moscow City. An annual membership costs 60,000 rubles, while a day membership costs 48,000 rubles. A one-time payment option is also available, along with a freeze service. Periodic promotions allow you to purchase memberships at slightly lower prices. Prices at 5 Element skyrocketed in 2019, but it remains one of the most affordable fitness clubs in Moscow City, and the quality of its equipment and service is on par with others.
Black Star Fitness
Black Star Fitness is Timati's new and highly ambitious project, operating under the Black Star brand. It opened in the Mercury Tower multifunctional complex in December 2019, although the swimming pool wasn't yet ready. Construction only began in the fall of 2020. It promises to be a 25-meter facility with four lanes.

Black Star Fitness occupies 3,500 square meters, 1,000 square meters of which is dedicated to the gym. Themed rooms are equipped with intelligent equipment to realize the concept of "fitness of the future" and ensure harmonious relaxation. The club's space is designed to even accommodate business negotiations in unique, atmospheric settings.
The fitness club offers only 5-6 types of group classes, which puts it at a disadvantage compared to its competitors. However, it does have a martial arts area with its own octagon, tatami mats, and other necessary equipment. Due to the lack of a pool or other factors, the annual membership price is 68,900 rubles. However, it is constantly changing. Membership sales began before the club opened, and back then, the price was lower, at 62,000 rubles. The currently announced maximum price for a 13-month membership is 78,000 rubles. Therefore, for this amount, clients will receive more than a year of classes, but it is important to note that Black Star Fitness does not offer membership freezes.
The fitness club has its own bar with signature cuisine. Overall, it boasts a stylish design, though its focus is clearly on fashion and bohemian style. This is clearly evident in the stylish equipment installed, but it raises a number of questions among fitness professionals. Furthermore, the qualifications of the training staff are unclear, although they are said to be internationally renowned. Furthermore, reviews of Black Star Fitness are still scarce. Timati and his partner, Pavel Kuryanov, left the project in January 2020.
Encore Fitness City
Encore Fitness is a high-tech fitness club located on the 3rd floor of the Crystal multifunctional complex "Oko." Its total area is 3,900 square meters, making it the second largest fitness club in Moscow City.

Encore Fitness City offers nine different group classes throughout the day, led by highly qualified trainers. The club features a cardio area with the latest premium Life Fitness Discovery SE equipment and a strength training area equipped with Hammer Strength MTS machines. Encore Fitness also features a large functional training area, a martial arts area, and a cycling studio.
It also features a 25-meter, three-lane pool with relaxation and hydromassage areas. It features a unique Silvertronix water purification system, which eliminates the use of chlorine. Water purification is achieved through multi-stage filtration, infused with copper and silver ions.
Relaxation options are also available at the premium Encore Fitness club. A luxurious thermal complex has been created for this purpose, featuring a steam room, hammam, snow room, Finnish sauna, biosauna, and more. One of the club's highlights is the salt bath. Encore Fitness also features a fitness bar and a dedicated spa area, where you can also receive professional cosmetology services, nail services, and more.
The downsides of this fitness club are the high cost and the lack of day passes. An annual membership costs 230,000 rubles, down from 160,000 rubles a couple of years ago. However, Encore Fitness City occasionally runs promotions, allowing for some savings. However, this is rare. However, Encore Fitness City does offer a three-month freeze.
Crocus Fitness Neva Tower
Crocus Fitness is a newcomer to Moscow City. It opened in the Neva Tower multifunctional complex in February 2020 and occupies two floors (the 3rd and 4th). However, the fitness club is relatively compact, covering 1,700 square meters and including a 20-meter swimming pool.

Crocus Fitness Neva Tower is equipped with premium equipment, including the Life Fitness Insignia line of exercise machines, a cycle studio, and a platform for interactive functional training. The club also features Pilates and yoga studios equipped with Gratz products. Crocus Fitness Neva Tower's trainers are highly professional, and include not only Masters of Sport but also European and Olympic champions.
One of the advantages of Crocus Fitness Neva Tower is its price. Currently, an annual membership costs 90,000 rubles, although an increase to 100,000 rubles is expected. A 90-day freeze is also available. However, Crocus Fitness in the Neva Tower multifunctional complex is the chain's first premium fitness club. The other clubs in the chain are three times cheaper, although several other branches are currently under construction, with annual memberships costing 40,000-50,000 rubles.
Crocus Fitness Neva Tower offers 5-6 group classes daily. Children can also enjoy personal training and swimming lessons twice a week (including for infants). The club also offers outdoor areas where you can not only work out but also relax in the Jacuzzi or lounge area.
Like other Moscow City fitness clubs, Crocus Fitness Neva Tower has its own café and spa area with a sauna, massage room, hammam, and more. Beauty treatments are also available, and professional stylists are available.
Sky
Nebo is a 1,500-square-meter wellness club with a swimming pool, located on the 61st floor of the Federation Tower West, at an altitude of 260 meters. It is the only fitness club with panoramic glass throughout. There are no group classes here, offering a purely individual approach. In addition to the gym, which features a cardio zone, strength training equipment, and free weights with Technogym equipment, clients can enjoy three classes: yoga, Pilates, and boxing.

The club's main advantage is its luxurious spa area and excellent service. Here, members can enjoy all types of massages, peels, and thalassotherapy. But overall, Nebo isn't so much about fitness as it is about quality self-care, working out with a personal trainer, and relaxation. Nebo also frequently hosts business meetings, and the wellness bar can satisfy even the most discerning dietary needs.
The price of a Nebo membership varies. It is negotiated individually with each client. An annual membership can cost 260,000 rubles, of which 100,000 rubles will be deposited into a personal account. This can then be used to pay for personal training sessions, massage services, fitness bar products, and more. The club also runs promotions that reduce the membership price to 180,000 rubles, of which 50,000 rubles will be credited as bonuses. Another option for classes at Nebo is to purchase a 100-session membership, which costs 100,000 rubles.
But the high price offers another advantage that can be difficult to spot at first glance: Nebo has significantly fewer members than other fitness clubs.
Fitness club Atmosphere in Moscow City (Imperia Multifunctional Complex)
The Atmosphere fitness club is truly an atmospheric place. Located on the 58th and 59th floors of the Imperia multifunctional complex, its floor area is only 1,000 square meters, making it one of the smallest fitness clubs operating in Moscow City.

Atmosphere, like Nebo, doesn't offer group classes. The club's concept is that no more than seven people can work out at a time. This ensures a comfortable environment for self-improvement. Individual sessions with professional trainers can enhance your effectiveness. Additionally, the fitness club offers a golf simulator, a hyperbaric chamber, a cryochamber, and a biohacking lab for an additional fee.
Biohacking is a modern approach that involves analyzing the body's condition and creating an individualized program for comprehensively improving its functioning to increase the body's capabilities, slow down age-related changes, and enhance cognitive abilities (memory, attention, thinking).
Relax after a workout and restore your muscles with a massage, an ice generator, and a thermal complex with a hammam and sauna, offering a stunning view of Moscow from a height of 240 meters. The indoor restaurant, Atmosfera Loung & Kitchen, is also located here.
A drawback of Atmosfera is the high cost of an annual membership – 220,000 rubles. If you include a golf simulator in the list of services, the membership will cost 350,000 rubles. This, combined with the lack of a pool and group lessons, significantly reduces the club's appeal compared to other clubs. Although there are occasional promotions that allow you to buy a membership at a slightly lower price, classes at Atmosfera are still more expensive than at Nebo, which offers a similar, but slightly larger, range of services.
Thus, Moscow City offers plenty of fitness clubs where you can comfortably work out not only after work, but also during your lunch break, or even pop in for a half-hour spa break. However, it's worth noting that their prices are fully in line with the premium segment. In this regard, "5 Element" and "Black Star Fitness" are clearly superior. However, for those who have already achieved a lot in life and want a break from the competitive atmosphere, away from crowds, Nebo or "Atmosphere" are more suitable.
But if you don't need or want to go to a gym, but would rather work in groups or individually on specific topics, consider enrolling in specialized studios. For example, the EMS studio Body Forming and the stretching studio Topstretching have proven themselves to be highly effective.
