The development of the Bolshoy City area is accompanied by the formation of an independent transport framework. As part of the next stage, the construction and modernization of the street and road network with a total length of about twenty-five kilometers is planned. The infrastructure is intended to serve business, public, and residential development concentrated at the junction of several administrative districts of Moscow.

As part of the development of the transport infrastructure of Bolshoy City, the following projects are planned:
-
reconstruction of the Moscow River embankment on the section from the Filyovsky Park district to the territory of the Pyotr Fomenko Workshop Theatre, including the Zapadny Port stage;
-
construction of a road bridge across the Moscow River in the area of Novozavodskaya Street;
-
reconstruction of Kulneva Street;
-
redevelopment of the Karamyshevskaya Embankment on the section from the Zhivopisny Bridge to 3rd Silikatny Drive;
-
landscaping of the Shelepikhinskaya Embankment on the section between the Presnenskaya and Karamyshevskaya embankments;
-
formation of the street and road network to serve the City transport hub;
-
construction of two bicycle and pedestrian bridges across the Moscow River towards Ostrovnaya Street and Fili Park;
-
major overhaul of Novozavodskaya Street;
-
reconstruction of Antonova-Ovseenko Street and the adjacent street and road network to ensure transport accessibility of the City-2 area;
-
reconstruction of transport interchanges at the intersection of the Third Transport Ring with Zvenigorodskoye Highway and Shmitovsky Drive;
-
upgrade of Magistralny Lane, 1st, 4th and 5th Magistralnaya Streets, as well as 2nd Khoroshevsky Drive;
-
development of the street and road network on the territory of JSC “Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center”.
The Bolshoy City project covers areas with a high concentration of office space, business centers, and related functions. The planning structure of the district is oriented toward the placement of workplaces along major transport corridors and in close proximity to urban transport hubs. This model requires a dense network of local connections and additional access routes to the main transport arteries.
The emerging street and road network addresses several tasks simultaneously: it ensures intra-quarter connectivity, creates alternative traffic routes, and reduces the load on existing avenues and ring roads. The key integration directions remain the Leningradsky and Kutuzovsky corridors, as well as the section of the Third Transport Ring passing near the business development.

At the current stage, a number of infrastructure projects related to the Moscow River waterfront areas are being implemented. Work is underway on sections adjacent to the Filyovskaya floodplain, Shelepikha, and nearby quarters. At the same time, the redevelopment of Kulneva Street and the modernization of the transport functions of the Karamyshevskaya Embankment are being carried out.
A separate element of the transport scheme is the construction of a new bridge crossing in the area of Novozavodskaya Street. The structure is designed to redistribute traffic flows between the riverbanks and to form an additional transverse route. In parallel, pedestrian and bicycle connections across the river are being created, complementing the road infrastructure and linking public spaces.
In the area of the City business hub, a local street network is being formed to serve the transport hub and adjacent quarters. The project takes into account the intensity of business flows and the need to separate transit and local traffic.

The next stages of development предусматривают further expansion of the road network, including the reconstruction of individual streets and the creation of new interchanges. In addition, changes to surface public transport routes are planned, with routes linked to key points of business activity.
Previously, dozens of kilometers of roads of various types—from overpasses to underground pedestrian crossings—have already been commissioned within the Bolshoy City area. New projects continue the formation of an autonomous transport structure designed for long-term operation and increasing business load.
