Organ part – Dmitry Maksimenko.

"Composers join notes one to another, that's all." Igor Stravinsky.
In July 2024, the team of the haute Chinese cuisine restaurant MUME, inspired by Diaghilev’s Russian Seasons, opened the Russian Code festival.
The first Russian Seasons were held in Paris in 1908. The day after the premiere, the whole world started talking about Stravinsky.
Thanks to the courage of a Michelin-starred chef and the creative spirit of the entire team, we are pleased to introduce a new event format - a journey into the world of classical music.
The project is based on a grandiose idea to expand the opportunities for self-realization of representatives of the creative sphere - including stage practice for young people in the musical arts, as well as an educational mission.
This evening, the audience will be treated to performances by laureates of international competitions: organist Dmitry Maksimenko and opera and chamber singer Ekaterina Kovalevskaya.
Dmitry Maksimenko is the organist of the Anglican Church of St. Andrew in Moscow, one of the founders and artistic director of the early music ensemble Capella'415. "After moving to Moscow, he graduated from the Russian State Medical University named after N. I. Pirogov. Successfully combining the professions of a doctor and a musician, he holds the position of organist at the Anglican Church of St. Andrew in Moscow and performs as part of an organ duet with the titular organist of the Moscow Catholic Cathedral and writer Anna Vetlugina. He co-authors science fiction with her," according to the Molodaya Gvardiya publishing house.
Ekaterina Kovalevskaya is a soprano, a scholarship holder of the V. Spivakov Foundation, a graduate of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, a soloist of the Yury Speransky Opera Studio Theatre at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, and a soloist of the NOTA Theatre since 2024.
The program of the event includes pearls of world instrumental and operatic classics - works by Russian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries: P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninoff, I. Dunaevsky, and others.
The centerpiece of the evening's repertoire will be the works of Igor Stravinsky: "...Stravinsky is a truly Russian composer... The Russian spirit is ineradicable in the heart of this truly great, multifaceted talent, born of the Russian land and blood-related to it...", - Dmitry Shostakovich said about the composer.
We sincerely hope that evenings of high musical culture will become a good tradition.
