“Nedalniy Vostok” is a Novikov Group restaurant near Barrikadnaya metro station and the Moscow Zoo. The concept is built around warm, approachable Eastern flavors presented in a modern way. The menu is centered on Eastern cuisine in an author’s interpretation. Hot dishes feature plenty of spices, slow cooking, and open-fire techniques, but the balance is kept careful, without excessive heat. Highlights include sea bream in a spiced chraimeh sauce, slow-braised lamb shoulder, and chicken tabaka. A special point of pride is the dough-based dishes: juicy lamb chebureki, chicken samsa, and beef manti. On the open fire they cook lamb liver with kurdyuk (fat tail), and among seafood dishes the Moroccan-style octopus stands out.

The raw bar is also worth noting. It’s a great way to start the evening with lighter bites, such as salmon crudo or beef carpaccio with muhammara. Drinks support the format: the bar list includes classic and signature cocktails, house-made lemonades, and a strong spirits selection. The wine collection is impressive in both range and scale, featuring over 300 labels from different countries.

Interior

The interior of “Nedalniy Vostok” follows a light Mediterranean aesthetic: plenty of natural light, warm wood textures, and live plants in large floor vases throughout the room. The decor reinforces themes of craftsmanship and travel, with clay jugs displayed on shelves and the open-kitchen area accented by patterns in an azure palette. The oven is visually separated by a turquoise glass insert, while tables are set with white tablecloths and hand-painted ceramics. Seating is designed for long get-togethers: soft, light-colored armchairs and sofas with cushions create a relaxed, unhurried feel. In the warm season, a terrace opens with wicker furniture for open-air dinners.

Service and conditions

• Terraces: a small outdoor terrace and a larger inner terrace. On Fridays and Saturdays, a 2-hour time limit may apply during peak hours, so it’s best to confirm when booking.
