On July 6, Sergey Sobyanin presented the City of Moscow Awards in the fields of architecture and urban planning. Among the twelve winning projects was the ONE Tower on Lot No. 1 of the Moscow International Business Center (MIBP). The category was “High-Rise Residential Buildings.”
Reason for the Award
A total of 174 entries were submitted. Thirty-five projects made it to the finals, and 26 architects were named winners—twelve projects across nine categories. The prize is a cash award: one million rubles per project, which is divided among the authors if there are no more than three.
The official wording avoids mentioning the tower’s name. In the decision, the structure is identified by its address: “a multifunctional high-rise complex in the ‘Moscow City’ business center (land plot No. 1) on 1st Krasnogvardeisky Proezd.”
Who Received the Award
There are two winners: Oleg Bogdan, creative director of the “Genpro” firm, and Dmitry Sukhov, head of the “Dmitry Sukhov Architecture” firm. The architectural concept—that very reference to the Möbius strip—was developed by Moscow’s chief architect, Sergey Kuznetsov, together with the “Genpro” team. His name is missing from the official list of winners. The Archi.ru portal pointed this out in its review of the award results on August 20.
Second award in four months
In April, ONE took home two platinum awards at the 2026 International Architecture Awards—for high-rise architecture and for mixed-use development. The tower stands 379.1 meters tall. The first concrete was poured in April, and the developer, MR Group, expects to complete construction by 2030.
